The other day I was at Chapters buying a magazine. After getting a bit side tracked, I began to count the number of magazine covers that featured Justin Bieber on them for the month of June. I counted 14 magazines!

Justin Bieber is arguably the biggest solo male teen sensation since Michael Jackson. His videos have over a billion hits on Youtube (where he was originally discovered) and he has posted record album sales and Top 40 hits since blowing up about 2 years ago.

In all honesty I don’t mind Bieber. His songs are catchy, he is pretty funny (started fake rumors about himself and Kim Kardashien were dating) and confident in interviews, willing to try new things (working with a lot of Hip Hop artists lately), he is a proud Canadian (always credits Canada although he now lives in Atlanta) and is legitimately a pretty talented singer. Even cooler is the kid has some pretty serious ties to Winnipeg:

• His father lives here full time.
• There were rumors he was going to go to St. Pauls High School (some people even claim to see him taking tours around the school).
• He has been seen at Manitoba Moose games, Winnipeg malls and more.
• He was partying at Blush on New Years Eve (not a paid appearance).

Justin will be performing in Winnipeg at the MTS Centre on September 14 2010. Tickets went on sale yesterday and it looks like they are still available on Ticketmaster HERE. They range in price from ~$50-$70.
