[Nighthawk]

For those who don't know, The Dak is a hotel bar located at 1105 St. Marys road in St Vital at the Dakota Hotel.

Personally I have never gone their because I have heard that it is a pretty dingy place, but I do always pick up beer there.

Over the past number of months they have been doing alot of renovations at the hotel including putting up a fancy new sign and completely renovating the beer store (which is awesome I must say, very clean, huge selection, very cold beer, sell cigarettes etc.).

They are also redoing The Dak bar from what I have heard and see to (the front of the bar has all new windows, is closed, and has wood panels). I asked the woman at the beer store what it is like and she said it is going to be super nice. She said leather seating all around, a big J shaped bar, couple fireplaces etc.

Anyways I am pretty pumped about this because it is like a 2 minute walk from my house and if it become a cool place that would be so convenient.

Does anyone know anything else about it or when they are going to open?

Will it have a dance floor, stage, dj booth etc?
