Dude, Where’s My Gear?!? DJ Co-op Benefit Show October 9 2009

For those of you who don’t know, DJ Co-op (along with his partner in crime DJ Hunnicutt) are two of the most influential DJ’s in the Winnipeg scene. They have both been around for quite some time and have rocked some of Winnipeg’s most legendary parties and almost every venue in the city.
-
It is really upsetting to hear stories like this when influential and respected people are robbed and most likely by people who directly receive the benefit of their actions. A couple months back something similar happened to Stephen Hua (the owner of Republic Nightclub and Soundwave Entertainment) when the old AM Afterhours was broken into. The Winnipeg community showed their support by throwing hm a fundraiser evening to help him get back some of the lost funds.
-
If you have the time and the means, coming out to support DJ Co-op would be a great way to spend an evening supporting a good cause and having a lot of fun with some of Winnipeg top DJ’s. If you aren’t able to make it out show some support by commenting on this article or by watching this awesome video of Co-op representing Winnipeg at the DMC Championships.

Earlier this month, my turntables were taken from the a Winnipeg bar. After a lengthy search, nothing has turned up. As DJing is my primary source of income, this is a major hit. Please consider coming to this party, so I can replace them.

would the turntables not be covered by the nightclub from where they were stolen or if they were stolen from his house be covered by insurance? I am more curious then anything because I would think if it was from a club then the club should be responsible to replace them. still a shitty deal hope there is a good turnout!
Clubs aren’t responsible when your jacket gets stolen in coat check, so I doubt they will claim any responsibility for this.
perhaps you should get a real job…..looser
