Level 2 Niteclub Winnipeg Grand Opening June 25 2009

2009 has proven to be a very exciting year already for the Winnipeg Nightlife scene. So far we have seen the opening of many new nightclubs and bars including Republic Nightclub, Estate Nightclub, Room 720, Vivid Nite Club, and now Level Two Niteclub in Winnipeg.

Level 2 Niteclub is taking over the old Phase II Cabaret on the second floor of 575 Portage Avenue. You can enter the club directly off the street and up the stairs similar to the entrance to HiFi. As the homepage of their website states, their will be a lot of familiar faces from the old Vibe Nightclub which recently shut down. One fairly reliable source has told me that old Vibe management is in charge as well.

Level II Niteclub will fill the void as a Winnipeg Urban Bar. Music will include Hip Hop, Reggae, RnB, Soca, Salsa and other urban genres. The club will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays nights with a different DJ and theme each night. One obvious strength is DJ Miss M who will be a resident on Thursdays and Saturdays. Miss M is a well known Winnipeg DJ who has won numerous awards and competitions. She also used to be a resident at Blush Ultraclub in Winnipeg.

Level 2 Niteclub opens on Thursday June 25 and will feature DJ Miss M and the Diamond Dancers. Lets hope that this bar manages to survive in Winnipeg highly competitive nightclub business and can successfully find its market.
