Canad Clubs (without a doubt the dominant nightclub force in Manitoba) has recently re branded many of its most popular weekly club nights at some of it’s busiest nightclubs. These changes come in conjunction with the appointment of Jamie Hall (previously involved with Vivid and most recently Mystique) as the Director of Nightclub Promotions.

New Friday night @ Stereo with DJ Dub Zero. Flew in Glenn Morrison from Toronto a couple weeks ago to kick it off. Electronic music is starting to hit another boom and this night will definitely fill the regular Friday night void.

Brand new Monday night at Winnipeg’s largest nightclub, Tijuana Yacht Club. Opens at 4:00pm for happy hour & I heard a rumor that they have hot tubs on the patio. It seems like everyone in Winnipeg always talks about the Whiskey Dix patio but TYCs truly is on the same level.

Saturdays at Stereo are already one of the best weekly club nights in they city. This looks like the most minor change of the bunch as they are keeping the same DJ (WinnipegNightlife.Ca’s Peoples Choice Award Winner DJ Hollywood Hype) and only adding in a few new concepts (why change a winning formula right?).

Friday’s have been The O.C’s bread and butter night for many years now. In the past year however the night seems to have lost some of it’s popularity and attraction that it used to have. Fixx Friday’s were introduced over a month ago and it seems as though the re branding has worked.  The night is slowly regaining popularity and a variety of new DJ’s, Dancers, and attractions have been flowing through the club each week.

Saturday’s at The O.C have never really taken off for some reason (it has always been a “Friday” bar). To me this seems like a strange theme for a night and I would be willing to bet that typical O.C crowd would agree with me. Nobody ever know however and the uniqueness of this night might just push it into popularity.
