Welcome to the first ever Winnipeg Nightlife New Years Eve 2010 Event Guide ( this guide will be very similar in format to the Winnipeg Nightlife 2009 Halloween Events Guide). Due to the huge amount of events going on for NYE 2010 in Winnipeg, I figured the best way to cover everything is to provide a brief description of every event going on in the city in a single post so that our readers can compare and contrast all the options available in order to have the best New Years Eve in Winnipeg as possible!

New Years Eve 2010 White Out Ball @ The O.C

- What: Get out your finest white clothes and try not to spill if you intend on hitting up The O.C this New Years Eve.  DJ Cassanova & MC Escalade will be hosting the event and delivering Top 40 and hip Hop tracks all night long. - What:If Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soca and RnB are your thing, then head on over to Level 2 this New Years Eve! DJ GI (who is definitely no stranger to Winnipeg) from NYC will be in town to throw down the hottest urban music around. In true Winnipeg social style, be on the lookout for a lot of bang for your buck at this event. - – What: 2010 is lame. If you want to skip right ahead to when then party get’s good in 3010 then head to Ozzy’s for NYE. Expect a big crowd coming out to this one as new years this year fall on a Thursday and unless you have being living under a rock, you know one of the hottest nights of the week in Winnipeg is Ozzy’s on Thursday for Readymix. So get dressed up as your favorite alien, robot or monster and hit the dance floor to the usual Indie Dance/Electro/Alt. - What: If you are looking to hear some deep, sexy house music this New Years Eve then the team from Symptom Technologies has the event for you at The Academy. Expect to see and hear the sounds of many great DJ’s (some of whom are residents at the popular House Party Saturdays @ Republic Nightclub). - – What: One word, DREADNAUT! With these guys headlining you can be guaranteed this will be a wicked event for those who want to do some moshing on New Years Eve! Dreadnaut will be taking the stage at 11:30 for the Midnight countdown so everyone can be assured that 2010 will be kicked off with some good metal music. - What: If your perfect NEW Years Eve in Winnipeg involves doing the “Boot Scootin Boogie” then make sure you head down to Winnipeg’s only true country bar, Cowboys Roadhouse! QX 104′s Kimberly Dawn will be hosting the event along with 2 great bands to keep the dancefloor full all night. - What: It may not be possible for you to make it to New York this year for New Years, but thanks to Mystique Nightclub New York will be coming to Winnipeg this year! Expect a balldrop, balloon drop, 40LBS of golden confetti, complimentary tapas and champagne, paparazzi, and red carpet to help get you in a “New York State Of Mind”. Countdown 2010 (Winnipeg New Years Rave) @ The River Osborne CC

- – What: If your looking to do some serious raving on New Years Eve look no further then Countdown 2010. This years event is being headlined by two awesome out of town DJ’s. The first DJ/Producer is Jelo (the second guy behind Deadmau5′s huge track “The Reward is Cheese”) who will be dropping some serious Electro. The second headliner is ILL.GATES from Toronto who will be providing a healthy dose of Dubstep which is quickly growing in popularity and starting to hit the mainstream. Supporting the headliners will be some of Winnipeg’s finest local DJ’s including Hollywood Hype (recently toured with LMFAO), Darian James (opened for Tiesto and Dada Life last month), and A-OK (one of the guys behind the wicked Winnipeg Psy parties). - What: In case you haven’t heard, Blush Ultraclub is closing and Champagne Supernova will be the last night that Blush is open. Come down and say your final goodbyes to Winnipeg’s largest nightclub. This event has a strictly enforced formal dress code so please dress for the occasion. – What: Everyone knew that Republic was going to put together something crazy for NYE 2010 but I am sure that nobody would have guessed an event of this caliber! In case you haven’t heard of him, DJ Tittsworth is one of the biggest DJ’s in the US primarily spinning a relatively new genre called Baltimore Club music. Expect to party hard as Tittsworth has being a part of some of the craziest parties Winnipeg has ever seen (anyone remember Tittsworth and Dave Nada a couple years back for a Nutty Klub event?). Decade Dance @ Hi Fi

- – What: If you are like most people and money is a bit tight after Christmas, then Hi Fi is your best best for New Years Eve! While most bars are charging $20-$40 for cover and advance tickets, Hi Fi is staying true to their roots by keeping admission reasonably priced at $5-$10 depending when you get there. you can also expect free food, glow sticks, very cheap drinks as well as prizes throughout the night. - – What: If it isn’t for the free tacos, Corona & Tequila specials or the awesome DJ lineup of DJ Co-op & Hunnicut as well as iMix DJ Champion DJ DLO, then head down to this event simply for having the best New Years Ever poster out of all the events! Prices are more then then reasonable for tickets and it is sure to be a great night! The Perfect 10 @ Whiskey Dix

- – What: Whiskey Dix and Curve 94.3 present “The Perfect 10″. On December 31st, welcome in 2010 at Whiskey Dix! Tickets are limited and are being sold at the club Monday-Friday noon to 6:00 as well as Friday and Saturday evenings at the front door. This night will be packed so make sure you get your tickets early. In addition to the typical hors d’oeuvres found at most New Years Ever parties, Whiskey Dix will be dropping $1000 in balloons from the roof at midnight (similar to what they did on Halloween)!
